We inspect your paint under LED swirl-detection lights and measure clear-coat thickness with a paint gauge on multiple panels. You see exactly what we see — swirls, scratches, oxidation, orange peel, holograms — and we recommend the right correction tier. If the clear coat is too thin for safe correction, we tell you and won't push the service.
Balanced foam bath, hand wash with pH-neutral shampoo, iron remover to dissolve brake dust particles, and a clay bar pass to remove any remaining bonded contaminants. A clean, decontaminated surface is non-negotiable — polishing contaminated paint grinds debris into the finish.
Depending on your correction tier, we use a dual-action or rotary polisher with cutting, polishing or finishing pads and graded compounds. We work panel by panel, testing a spot first, then dialing in pad pressure, speed and polish combination. A test spot is photographed before we move to the rest of the car — you approve it before we continue.
After correction we wipe down the entire vehicle with isopropyl alcohol to remove polishing oils and reveal the true finish. We inspect under the same LED lights used during the initial read. Any remaining defects are addressed before the job is called complete. Then we seal with a wax, sealant or (recommended) a ceramic coating.

The correction itself is permanent — defects are removed, not hidden. But new swirls can be introduced by automatic car washes, poor drying technique or harsh detergents. To preserve the correction we recommend a ceramic coating applied immediately after. That combination typically keeps a freshly corrected finish looking new for 3 to 5 years.
Paint correction always goes first. A ceramic coating locks in whatever is underneath — apply it over swirls, and you seal the swirls in for years. Our standard ceramic coating package already includes a 1-step paint correction. If your paint needs more than 1 step, we recommend booking paint correction as a standalone service first, then scheduling ceramic.
Paint correction removes scratches that haven't gone through the clear coat. If you run a fingernail over the scratch and it catches, it's too deep — that requires paint touch-up or repaint. During inspection we tell you exactly which defects we can remove, which we can visually reduce, and which need body-shop work. No surprises.
A 1-step correction uses a single combination of pad and polish to address light to medium swirls and oxidation in one pass — it restores about 70 to 85% of paint clarity.
